Jessica LaPrade's painting style is an interpretation of the natural world, integrated with technological and urban contrivances channeled through textural studies of nature. The resulting experience of interconnectedness allows the viewer's visceral response a primary and urgent voice.

She recieved her BFA from Eastern Washington University in 2008.  Seeking extended guidance beyond college experience, she participated in the "Drawing in Paradise" workshop with Alex and Allyson Grey in 2009.  The experience has helped inspire new works with a deeper understanding of the divine intuition and the importance of an artist's message.  In 2011, Jessica visited CoSM for a week-long anatomy intensive class taught by Alex Grey.  Most recently, Jessica has done live paintings at Emerge N See Festival, Burning Man, several Headyworks Productions, and other concerts/ benefit shows in the Pacific Northwest Region.  She has recently been published in Direct Art Magazine's, Volume 18 edition.
